A real rendezvous in the metropolis, the Villeneuve d’Ascq chain of lakes offers more than 13 km of walks, between nature and culture. Located in the heart of the city, the site is nevertheless a showcase for the preservation of local flora and fauna and hosts a Regional Natural Reserve. The shores of the lakes are lined with cultural sites: the prestigious LaM, the Musée des Moulins, the Asnapio Archaeological Park, the Open Air Museum and the Château de Flers, where it is good to stimulate yourself after a meal on one of the many picnic areas or in a typical tavern.
