The Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Wattrelos was created in an old traditional Picardy farmhouse, also called &#8220;cense&#8221;. Thus the different buildings are interconnected and are organized around a typical large square courtyard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The museum houses a large collection of objects that have disappeared today, but were part of everyday life 150 years ago. Far from being inert, these objects are grouped together in sketches recounting in detail life at home, at work or during leisure time in the 19th century.
